Today, together with the U.S. Bishops we celebrate and honor all those in our midst teachers, catechists, lay ministers, liturgical ministers, 

and all that have answered the call. 

Catechetical Sunday is an opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to Jesus’ mission, supporting the Faith Formation Ministry in our community.  

Thank you to all the catechists who have heard the call and responded with YES! 

May God bless your efforts this year!

Loving Father, we pray today for our catechists. 

We thank you for their gift of ministry in your Church. 

Grant them your wisdom that they may grow in the

 understanding and teaching of your Word. 

Grant them also your love that they

 may be fruitful heralds of your Word and lead others to love you. 

Pour forth your Holy Spirit upon them to grant them 

wisdom about what is important; knowledge of the truths of faith; understanding 

of their meaning; right judgement about how to apply them in life; 

courage to persevere even in the face of adversity; 

reverence before all that is sacred and holy; and that loving zeal which leads others to a transforming encounter with your Son. 

We pray this through Christ, our Lord. Amen

We sincerely thank everyone for their generosity in last weekend’s second 

collection for the Faith Formation Center Capital Campaign. A total of $5,046 was collected. If you haven’t yet made a pledge, you may still do so—every gift, no matter the size, helps us reach our goal. 

Your support ensures that our parish has a dedicated space where children, youth, and adults can continue to grow in their Catholic faith for generations to come. 

We are currently working on the remaining touch up items and finishing details  as we prepare for all of our Faith Formation classes to begin.

OCIA will begin this Tuesday, with Elementary, Middle School, and High School classes starting shortly thereafter.

SEPTEMBER 20 & 21

A lifetime of service deserves care in return. “Thanks to your generosity, we can provide the very best care to the sisters in our community,” says Sister M. Stephanie Belgeri, 73, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George in Alton, Illinois. Donations to the Retirement Fund for Religious provide housing, medical assistance, and essential support for thousands of aging religious. Please consider giving next week

RE Grades 1-5,Begins Wednesday, October 1st 6-7:30 PM- This includes Sacramental Prep for First Reconciliation and Holy Communion.

Middle School Youth Ministry (Grades 6–8)
 Begins Monday, September 29th. We’re launching a renewed junior high youth group open to all 6th–8th graders! Meets Monday nights from 6–7:30 PM. Teens will encounter Christ through community, prayer, and engaging formation.

Confirmation Preparation (7th & 8th Grade)

·7th grade - Four monthly prep nights (will be noted on parent calendar)

·8th grade - Eight monthly prep nights (will be noted on parent calendar). Retreat Weekend: 

November 8–9. Designed to help teens experience God’s love and respond personally in faith.

Begins Sunday, September 28th  6-7:30 PM. Now following the Life Teen model for deeper Scripture engagement and relational discipleship. Monthly XLT Adoration Nights featuring inspiring talks, praise & worship, and Eucharistic Adoration.

Middle School and High School Youth Groups are launching for the year, and we want every teen to know there’s a place for them at St. Joseph’s! Whether it’s your 6th grader stepping into youth group for the first time, your high schooler exploring their faith, or a teen preparing for Confirmation—we’re here to walk with them on the journey. It’s never too late to register! If you haven’t signed up yet, we’ll have forms available at the first night. Come as you are—we’ll take care of the rest.
